Doodgame - Application de pari sportif amical / Friendly Sport Bet App
Doodgame – User story

Thomas is a Hockey fan and particularly of Montréal’s Canadians. Spring is his favorite season, especially when the Canadians are doing the series. This year, he even decide not to shave is beard for the series; his spring Movember, he says. He likes to gather up with his friend at the local pub to watch the game.
Sadly this evening for the second game of the Canadians against the Senators he can’t go out the pub like he did for the first game. At lunch time, he is scrolling through his Facebook news feed on his iPhone and amongst other posts, he stumble upon this from his friend Gab: “Thanks to my predictions on Doodgame about the Canadians vs. Senators game I wont 550 Doods and my Dare against my friend Stephane!” Nice, he thinks, I want to do my predictions and kick my friends a***s too! There is a link to the Doodgame app in the post, so Thomas clicks it.
The app opening, there is a quick slideshow showing that you can choose your favorite sport and team, make your predictions about a game, challenge your friends to a Dare and win rewards. He rapidly connects via Facebook because he wants to do his predictions for tonight’s game. He decides to invite his Facebook friends with whom he went to the pub for the first game. Then he chooses NHL Hockey and the Montreal Canadians for his favorites. The app already opens a new feed showing the result of the first game of the series two days before and a video replay of Subban’s goal; that was a great play! After watching the video, he opens the side menu and quickly spots the Games item. He clicks it and sees today’s games; the first on the top is the Canadians vs. Senators at 7 PM, he sees an icon with two friends that already made their predictions about this game; Gab and Stephane. He chooses this game, pays the 12 Doods from his starting Doods pool and the prediction interface opens. The first tab is about the score; he hopes the Canadians will win their second game in a row so he selects them as the winner and choose that they will win by one point with the Overtime option which it seems have the potential to give him extra rewards. Secondly, the Canadians shall score the first goal too. After that, there is a second tab name Roster; great he can predict which Canadians players that will start the game. He doesn’t know the Senators players that well, so he clicks the Stats icon where he can see the stats of the two teams and their players. He rapidly built the perfect teams and go on making extra predictions. I push Finish and the playing board opens showing Gab, Stephane and him with a count down to the beginning of the game with a little over 6 hours left.
There is a suggestion to dare a friend that pops out. Ha-ha, he shall Dare Gab of course! He selects him and click the Dare button. There is a list of possible Dare consequences. He spots Wash my car and laugh out loud. He selects that consequence that shows the suggested time of 1 week and the buy out option, he click the information button to see what it means. The buy out option permits to buy yourself out of doing the Dare consequence with Doods if you lose. That’s a good thing, Thomas thinks, so yes. He sends the challenge to Gab. The Doodgame app suggests to come back during the game to see the progression. Thomas puts his cell phone back in his pocket; he should really go back to work; the lunch break is over. He can’t wait for tonight’s game!
7:15 PM the game just started and Thomas is seating on his coach in front of the TV still hoping the Canadians win. My predictions, he thinks! He grabs his phone and check Doodgame. Upon opening the app, he sees the number 4 on the notifications icon. He clicks; Gab accepted his challenge, Sara signed up to Doodgame, also she sent him a challenge and finally the game just started. He clicks on the game link and the play board opens; 1st period 0 vs.0, he is now accompanied by Gab, Stephane, Sara, Canadians fans and Senators fans. He already has points! His roster was right 3 on 5; he is on front of Sara, but behind Gab and Stephane. He sees a sword icon beside Sara; he clicks it and sees that she challenged him over Buying lunch. He accepts, lunch with Sara would be nice, paying or not, and he is leading!
He returns to the TV screen and sees Paciorety with the puck coming toward the Senators goally, he shoots and scores! Thomas exclaims yes! After watching the replay, he returns to Doodgame. His points bar went up, he is way in front of Senators fans, almost in par with Gab and Stephane. A message icon pops up, Gab is writing him in the app: “You wants to defy me at my own game. I’ll beat you rooky!” Thomas hits reply: “Wait a minute, it is still the first period and I’m coming up just behind you!”
The first period comes to an end, and Thomas returns to Doodgame, there is a red bar that appeared at the bottom of the screen; a Subway ad, wait a minute it is no ad it is a trivia question sponsored for extra points. Thomas taps it and replies to a question about the first period. With him observation skills, he gets it right and is rewarded with a multiplier bonus, taking an advance in the game.
The game continues and intensifies. It is soon the third period, 3 vs. 3; it shall be a close one. It will go in prolongation for sure, as he predicted, just one thing, the Canadians must score the goal then.
In overtime, the play was really on the offence. The Canadians finally scored, Thomas rejoices! He returned to his second screen. It shows the end of game summary, he got most of his predictions right and even faired well against the Canadians fans and Senators fans. He clicks Claim reward and his points are converted in 510 Doods and he sees the Dues from his friends Dares. Proud, he pushes on the Share on Facebook and gets extra Doods. He instantly receives an in app message of Gab: “Beginner’s luck…” He happily replies: “So, when are you coming to wash my car dood?” It was quite a game.
Sunday morning, Thomas is wrapping up his predictions for the next game this evening. The Canadians shall win for a 3rd time, they must; he has Dares hanging in the balance. But enough of that, he has to go to lunch, after all, Sara is paying. It will be nice indeed…
